To enhance the environment created by the architect and interior design team, 1157 designconcepts developed a series of recognition components to compliment the numerous spaces. Flexibility to update was a key factor in honoring donors of the center as well as ongoing employee recognition. Major donors were thanked with naming opportunities relative to their giving levels.

When asked to explore a display to recognize the history of Cox Health Systems, 1157 designconcepts created a 12 panel graphic display featuring images and copy representing a specific time period. The location of the display was selected to allow future historical panels. As the client continues to build a rich history in their community, the custom interactive touch screen display allows for endless additions and updates.

The Hofstra Trophy Room was created with numerous specially designed display cases. Attention to athletic accomplishments supported the honoring of athletes and support to recruitment.

Kansas State required a donor recognition display that proudly displayed two distinct logos. Because this was a new endowment program, attention to the new logo design was paramount. Future updates to donor names needed to be effortless and economical. The chosen location for the display involved a pillar, which created yet another challenge. 1157 designconcepts incorporated a system utilizing transparencies held in place with glass panels and standoffs allowing for effortless updates to donor names. The logos were etched into glass panels that were lighted by an innovative technology, EDGELite. The LED lighting solution draws everyone’s attention to the display. Installation around the pillar was accomplished through a unique three-section design that provided balance between all elements of the display.

When a proposal was requested from this client, they had not yet broken ground on their new hospital. Working from color boards and renderings we created initial design concepts. After being selected as the preferred vendor, we recreated each design and added new components as the interior took shape, by working in concert with the architect and designers. We incorporated hand-made pewabic tiles utilized elsewhere in the hospital and carefully accomplished custom wood matches. The result is a seamless integration between our displays and the interior environment.

With a strong desire to tell the story of the campaign and the people who were touched, 1157 designconcepts recommended graphic images and an interactive format. Graphic images capture highlights of the campaign events and donors. These individual components are updateable allowing the display to remain current and inviting.

The major donors are honored in glass panels abrasively etched with EDGELite providing illumination of the names and copy. With the interactive format, remaining levels of donors are recognized. In addition to listing donors, special recognition is given to major donor, as well as current events, historical information, and much more.

This multifaceted project involved numerous parties including development, marketing, architect and construction. The chosen location and traffic flow mandated a freestanding design providing 360-degree access for entering and exiting patrons. Recognition of major donors and branding messages needed to be highly visible. Fabrication and installation would revolve around a changing construction schedule. In a collaborative effort involving all factions, 1157 designconcepts created a concept that complimented the interior architectural surroundings of this facility while capturing the rich history of the client. Donor names were etched into glass nameplates and mounted to a textured acrylic backdrop with the use of a unique rod and stand-off system providing easy update capabilities. Branding elements came to life through innovative and vibrant lighting techniques. An user-friendly platform was incorporated into the display for the mounting of electronic and interactive components.

The newly constructed cancer center involved collaboration between 1157 designconcepts and construction, facilities, marketing and development teams from Rush Copley. Together, an illuminated display recognizing donor compliments the lobby. All levels of donors are recognized in an updateable format through the use of transparencies and interactive touch screen format. At the end of the campaign, those currently recognized in a transparency format will be etched in glass. The center reaches out to many. Their stories and support team are honored. Rush Copley designed recessed areas to feature these stories. Additional recessed areas thank major philanthropist.
